Hi my friend has got an R Reg Saxo VTR, she is having soo many problems with it, so i am hoping this forum could point me in the right direction of solving them and where to even start.

The engine when idle is high and it sometimes revs itself, which is pretty embarrasing in say Mcdonalds Drive Through.

Today the car wouldnt start after driving for 5 mins, she tried several times, it turned over but wouldnt start. I came to it 4 hours later and it started first time every time.

It cut s out randomly when driving, it did it once when she was doing 70 on motorway, but started fine, also cut out a number of times when changing gear.

The drivers side door you can see daylight, i think it may have been bent back at one time, could this be re bent into position or the catch repositioned?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Matt

Hi, thanks for the quick reply, where is the ICV located? And will tell her to get a coil pack, i am taking these are an easy fit. And also the daylight can be seen between the door and the B-Pillar
