Hi all, having done a search and found no helpful replies, I have decided to make this thread.
I am having to replace my passenger side wing mirror, so obviously I need to remove the door card. I am aware of the two torx screws and the clips on the inside of the card, however I seem to have hit a problem with the door opening handle. Is this a seperate part which the card fits around or does it have to come off too? If so, could someone please tell me how? Also, is the window winding handle part of the door card and so slides off the winder with the card or does it pull off with a fair amount of force?

Many thanks in advance :y:

Usually with window winders there is a plastic cap which you prize off which then reveals a screw. The doorcard once you`ve removed the 2 torx screws & unclipped all the clips lifts up & out of the window channel.

Thanks for the help regarding the window winder, however does the door opening handle come out too or does it stay put?

The door handle stays where it is I normally tilt the door card at the bottom and lift it over the window channel

no need to remove the door card mate. where the mirror screw are hidden but that bot of plastic that holds the adjuster on that just pulls off, and with a bit of jiggling (poss have to undo the torx screw just under there) it'll come out and all the screws are exposed.

Changed mine yesterday, alot easier if you take door card off (takes about 10 seconds)....

1 - Undo your 2 Torx screws, (1 in Ashtray and 1 at Top of card nearest the front of the car.
2 - The card is held on with multiple clips, I started at the bottom corner furthest from the front of the car, worked along the bottom then up the sides, once all clips are undone, lift the card up over the door pin and off.
3 - Take off the plastic trim covering your wing mirrors Torx screws, give it a good pull, it isn't attached via a screw.
4 - Inside this, there is a screw which holds the wing mirror adjuster in place, undo this.
5 - Change wing mirrors, 3 torx screws.

Putting it back together;

1 - Put the plastic cover back on/do up the adjuster screw.
2 - Start with aligning the card at the top, there is a recess it should fit in.
3 - Now make sure you align the door handle bit inside the door car properly, there are 'clips' that just slide into 2 holes at the bottom of the handle's plastic
4 - Then go to the futhest edge again and line up the clips on that side (you can seem them)
5 - Go around the outside of the door card and bash it into place, so all the clips are in.
6 - Now do your torx screws back up.

Bobs your uncle, wing mirrors done. Open a beer and admire your handy work.
