ive got infinity components in the front and also infinity speakers on my parcel shelf (not 6x9s!) before when i was running then off my head unit it was fine, sounded abit crap but that was all! now ive put all off them into an amp and i get a whistling noise from them,
at first i thort it was the amp so i swaped it over but still the same, ive also got another amp for my subs and even tryed that 1 and it still does it! im guessing it doesnt do it on my subs because its low frequency?
i asked a few people about this and they said to change my leads because i had crap leads my dad bodged together! also because i had the power lead running along side my rca leads, however after changing all of this its still the same!!:fcuk:
any help would be great!
cheers

are your rca cables and power cable on the same side of the car?if so you need them on the opposite side to each other

Ensure that your amps earth conection is a good one with a clean connectiot to the car.

The transformer for your neons could be the problem get rid of them unless you want to look like a chav.

ok so tonight i put a lead stright from the ground on my amp to my battery earth and its still the same! so it cannot be the earth, i think i mite try a power cap next its the only other thing i can think of!

Power cap is not going to help as they dont do fuck all never mind reduce alternator wine. Uprate the big three under bonnet wires as this is much cheeper then a power cap and actully benefits you.
Heres another one: Run a new earth wire for your headunit thats connected to the same point as your amp.
