Anyway Before It Was Featured I Bought Myself A Audi TT Cabriolet & Have Performed A Few Modifications On That. After Not Using The VTR I Tried For A Number Of Months To Sale Before Having To Break For Parts & Then Scrap The Body Shell Which I Done Yesterday (22/06/2012)
Knew I Wanted Another Saxo & Kinda Guttted I Broke The VTR..So I Started Looking For A Toy Aside The TT. Found This A Few Weeks Ago & Finally Picked It Up Today. Only A Few Pictures As I Need To Spend Some Hours Cleaning IN & OUT! & Generally Getting Her Running Sweet Again As Its Been Standing A While! Sorned With No MOT or Tax (Hence The Trailer)

Right I spent all of Sunday afternoon on her stripping and cleaning and all. Found a few problems to say the least! First of all the seat anchor has snapped so have to repair the floor! Also the beam is fucked about to snap the n/s/r wheel off. Worse beam I've ever ever seen :| clicks and bangs just moving it :0 so I'm replacing that. All tyres need replacing so I need 4 new tyres and all brakes are shagged and handbrake cables rusty. Also engine is pissing out oil all over the place.
I've ordered a brand new OLITE beam with uprated parts! Thicker pins and bearings!
I've ordered performance brake pads and grooved and drilled discs all round
Also ordering 4 new tyres to hug some new wheels I'm looking for..
I'm giving the engine a right going over! I'm not cutting ANY corners. Stripped the engine right back, all pulleys and belts off replacing the camber covers, crankshaft seal. Also removed the cams and re sealed the carriers fitting new camshaft seals. Fitting the newer JP4 cam covers to prevent leaking in future! Also new Campbeltown and tensioners and rollers with new multi v belt. Also stripping all the underfloor and arches down and out to paint everything to prevent rust in the future ad the clean is nice and clean! Surprisingly..
The cars been scorned off road for a year or so, I'm not cutting corners I'm digging deep in my pocket to get her near enough PERFECT in my eyes ;) lol
More updates coming soon.. And bits ;)

Engine is all back together now just awaiting JP4 cam covers to start her up...
I started cleaning all under the arches and underfloor and all those nooks and crannies with wire brush and cleaning gear. I started to paint the drivers arch to trail colour... Looks so good, glitter blue, I'm not doing for sexiness just to protect and keep rust away but looking good, post up pics soon.
Also bought a BMC filter and set up a good cold air feed with mini BMC breather filter, (in the post)
Also just cleaning the buy up tidying etc.
Got a OLITE rear axle being built up :y: and ordered grooved and drilled brembos to revamp the brakes.
She going to be sexy :) so excited so get it going and on the road. But time is not important I want it right. I planned this to be a slow progress but I'm getting carried away again :| lol

You dont need wheels man! Just put ITB's and management and the top of your list then go from there!
Also how come you went for drilled and grooved standard not some 283's or 266's?
Finally its nice to see someone put a realistic power figure in the title too!

Shame you broke the vtr.
Good base for the vts, hope you got it cheap. Surely you knew about the tyres, brakes and beam before you bought it.

lol i do need another pair of shoes for her ;) o god i want some soo bad just funds are tied atm and xmas soon and my misses likes pricey presents lol so won't be till new year probs, i haven't ordered my discs yet and I'm looking into some upgrades but I'm not sure, i started a thread on some advice.
haha well i have the print out so i put the figure down i want to get it re done once its back on the road, your bhp look small compared to others that are running that kind of gear? :S

i know miss it now mate lol always the way!
yeh didn't do too bad with it :) yeh i guessed about the tyres and brakes, thats common sense stuff and tbh i had a feeling about the beam too, you know with any saxo or pug you buy you'll be doing it sometime. so yeh i did expect :)
small update, my jp4 cam cover kit came today so i cleaned them up in the wash and tank and cleaned them down. after i fitted brand new seals. i didn't get round to fitting or running the engine yet because I'm so busy at work, annoying really just seeing her sit there and i can't get it going and have fun.
also ordering my beam tomorrow olite beam and will be brand spanking.
still painting under the arches engine bay etc, il get some pics up soon, after some before and after pics, first wheel arch I've done looks very sexy in the glitter blue. I've said I'm not doing it for looks just for protection but it does look good lol

O right ok mate, but you have emerald and jenveys, thought that would make a huge difference!?
Right I got it up and running with the new JP4 covers on and seals in. Runs ok after the work which is good but she is over fuelling like mad! Probs do about 2mpg at the moment so need to sort that out. When I timed it up the marks had been advanced and I guess that is from the remap and cams? But I put it back on the marks it came off. So need to figure all that ok and get it running sweeter, beam should be delivered early next week.

gonna defo follow this one your fast car vtr was stunning
Awesome mate, thanks a lot :y:
Right Friday was a big day, I was happy and really pissed off too lol
My VTR lambda sorted out the fault code and all the engine codes where clear! Pretty good for a French car lol. The over fueling is now sorted and she runs sweet as! Aj now happy.
Then was to Scan the abs system and find a right hand abs sensor faulty so I ordered one and got it fitted. Got in the car and cleared the codes "no codes present" but the abs light was still on. I started the engine and spun the wheels round in 2nd gear to clear but still the light stayed on with no codes present. I then flicked the ignition on and off a few times and I got a code come in which was right hand rear sensor. I couldn't believe it so I got back on the phone and ordered a rear this time. It was double the price of the front one and I now had spent towards £200 on 2 sensors. It really pissed me off and I had what I call a angry hour lol where I just wanted to smash something lol. I painted all the NSF arch finally and under all the engine components and headlights. Cleaned the rear arches up and underneath of rust ready to paint under floor and rear arches too. I replaced the front orange indicator bulbs to chrome ones as I hated seeing the orange in the morette lenses. It is coming together.
Got to fix or fit new bulbs in front sidelights and the rear number plate lights. After that apart from the beam I will finally have it ready for MOT :D then might get her on the road.

It is mate very unique.
Don't know weather to keep it or not. I've spent alot of whoring hours slaving, painting under the arches and getting everything bang on! Including that new axle! Plus all the engine work!! might keep it for a winter toy/ track slag.
What do people think?
Once it's spot on Tax & Teated what do you reckon it's worth???

depends on miles and all that mates. Personally tracking it will be a huge amount of money but depends how much you use it. I made mine used it once and lost so much money, i think you could get £1500 for it atleast if you get it mint

Every car is only worth what some one will pay for it mate. No matter how much work you put in it all depends if some one wants that saxo in that colour ect.
Seen many car that is mint go for way under the price its worth just because it wasn't selling. I wouldn't expect anything higher than £1200 just to be on the safe side then any more you get above that price is going to be a bonus.

Yeh I wanted it for track fun but road use. £1500 :| I thought for this spec With the bhp it's running and mods a easy £2000 at least. Maybe it worth keeping it for fun then.

Yeh I get that mate totally true! Bloody hell it owes me more than that already. I've been looking at a few in the for sale section around the £2000 mark I thought that this must be worth that easy! Damn lol

Right HUGE UPDATE!
Haven't even had this baby on the road and she's SOLD SOLD SOLD!
Since getting the new 225 TT I can't well WON'T run both these cars so I was going to advertise for sale! However my best mate and new owner of this had seen all the hard work gone in and new shiny parts fitted and seen how perfect it is now has decided to pluck it off my hands knowing he's buying one hell of a base of a saxo! This just needs a mint set of rims and a touch up here and there in small places and then it will be incredible!
Be so sad not to drive it and enjoy it but I love my TT too much! I'm sure il be around still it's just the saxos have got to go, they don't match my lifestyle. I know it will be looked after and cared for and we have saved another saxo and got it on the road! I'm taxing it tomorrow and he's picking it up! WATCH OUT FOR HIM ( CustomChris ) because I'm sure there will be a progress thread very soon!! He will take it on and and do what I didn't finish.
