Hate the interior so hopefully picking up a gti cloth interior until I can find some decent half leather ones, have bought a blue carpet and black seatbelts and started ripping out the interior.

Nah just fox racing or something along those lines. Exhaust was like that when I got it and the bumper was cut to fit it so will be staying till I get new rear bumper and backbox. It's too big for the saxo, just looks out of proportion.

Cheers, still got lots to do but it's coming together slowly. Bought the carpet from a guy on here, if you check the for sale section over at the 106 forum they come up every so often. Comes from a rallye originally I believe.

Nobody likes them mate except for me, I think they look fucking awesome. They will look even better when they're polished and it's been lowered. Sure the evo's are running 45 profile but can't mind, they look good and make the rear look not as unlowered haha. I'll be running the evos most of the time.

Unfortunately not going anywhere near that low, would look good but just not practical. I want just a little bit of gap above wheel so going to try a 30-40mm drop to start with and see where that leaves me.

I welded my one bud, got someone off here who was breaking his car to cut me off his good section so I could replace it but I never took a pic before putting the carpet down. Tbh I would have never noticed unless I was removing the seat, if you crash in a saxo you're gonna die anyway haha

I notice mine - it squeeks like f**k all the time lol! Other than that it's not really too noticeable. And yeah not in my plans to crash in my 106 :P You should get those leathers retrimmed with black alcantara centres - I think it'd scream class :)

That would drive me insane, I'd seriously get pissed at that. Already annoyed at the exhaust moving around lol. My original plan, was blue alcantara centres but I'm worried it might be too blue if I did.

Which one? The blue, black interior is in my astra but I want to make the seats in my saxo similar so blue door cards and blue centres. The astra interior is out of an se2 coupe, I'd love to get the exact same seats in my saxo as they are lush and comfortable but too much fettling for me.

Nah, standard seats. They were beautiful when I first got them even shaved the alcantara so they were smooth lol. If the leather was in better condition I'd have priced to redo the alcantara but you can pick up seats and door cards for about £200 to £300 so not really worth it.

I'm planning on stripping the seats myself, picking the stitch out and cutting the material to size then find someone that can use a sewing machine or learn myself to restitch. Budget build to the max, blue suede shouldn't be too expensive and then whatever it costs to get it stitched.

The wheels will look better, I just haven't had time to do them. Will get the curbing gone and the centres stripped and resprayed nicely. That was a test to see what they'd look like. What I'm gonna do with the mirrors is layer the gold over then sand back and lightly spray black over the top so it will look pretty black but in the sun you should see some gold through it. Like a black pearl kind of job. Will upload a photo if it works out.

Anyone know the best way to strengthen the chassis underneath or what metal to replace the chassis rails with? The underside is starting to rot and there's no good jacking points so was thinking of replacing the rotten chassis rails and welding in plates for a jacking point.

Also where is the best place to get panels, I want to repair some parts like under the ECU etc.

Quickshift gear selector fitted and I made the gaiter.

I don't have a lot of money to spend on the saxo so I'm doing jobs I can do on the cheap or just general tidying up so today I've fitted uprated gear linkages. Almost totally fucked myself tho because when I was taking one of the old linkages off the ball broke from the bracket but luckily it was the one that is bolted to gearbox so I took it off and welded it back together and got it all fitted together. She's nice and tight now.

Also raised rear of bonnet and fitted a black vinyl strip on my door pillar, lacquer is starting to come away from door so just makes it look a wee bit better and also have taken my wipers off and painted them because they were gross.

It doesn't look too bad in pics but my vt kit is crap, I've got some spares but the paint work isn't brilliant on those either so it was either respray them or wrap them so I've decided to wrap them. So here's a pic of the start of my wrapping.
