yo guys tried de-wipering the back. can't seem to pull the wiper off, searched it and found out its common. sprayed it with wd40 and still wont come off. now i'm thinking i have to saw it, so the question i'm going to ask is will this saw be good enough?? http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_77 8691_langId_-1_categoryId_165469

Dont saw it, go buy a puller and use that plus it'll come in useful for other things

+1 to this, although i`ve dewipered 2 saxo boots with no problems so far simply by taking my time & using lots of wd40.:y:

it looks really clean and there is no rust, seems strange why it wont come off

not strong enough :p whatever you do dont saw it off mate. seen it enough times ow where people havn't looked at what there doing and sawed threw the boot lid or threw the glass (not litrally threw but deep enough scratches). im guessing the bit your on is where i couldnt move it any more. basically twist the wiper (like undoing a bold anti-clockwise) do that and keep pulling. but make sure all screws nuts etc are all undone. keep spraying it with WD40 and eventually it'll give way. just please don't use a saw

well hes not the only one, its happened before, someone tried it with a mood saw not a hack saw so to be fair thats even worse as they used the wrong saw. but tbh going anywhere near a car with a saw is the wrong idea unless you know what your doing

doesnt really matter. i took everything off on mine and pulled both the wiper and the motor at the same time away from each other. they will eventually give way

The 2nd 1 I did I was about to get some more tools as the motor was being stubborn & wouldn`t come off so I gently shut the boot.Voila the motor fell off & into the boot(no damage)result.

Or you could cut the plastic around the metal then just unbolt the wiper motor, then if you wanted to out it back on all you would need is a wiper arm.

Yes it is & pull squarely ie not more pressure on 1 side, cos thats how accidents happen mate.:drink:

so is the whole unit meant to come away from the window or is it just the wiper that comes off the silver screw?

you can saw it off just below the wiper arm if i doesnt come off, but do it very very carefully! mine wouldnt come off and i spent about 45 minutes cutting through it very gently so i wouldnt shatter the glass/scratch the glass/scratch the paint
then undid the motor from the back and all done

I've had to pinch this photo as my phones being crap, but any way this is where i'm at, the whole unit you see in the pic pulls away from the window pretty easy but i get scared in case i smash the window. is it meant to pull off all at once or is just the wiper blade meant to come of the silver screw..... pic http://i1201.photobucket.com/albums/bb354/slimwiltaz/wiper.jpg

once you get the wiper blade off should the rest just pull through the back?
