From what I know it's the internal mech minus the shoes themselves but it has the automatic adjusting mech two bits of metal with gear like teeth and it self adjusted

Ok then Im afraid Im not familiar with the set up. If it roughly the same as the picture I posted (it should be Id imagine) then you would have to undo the two pins holding the brake shoes to the back plate (one in the middle of each shoe - rusty old things on mine!) then carefully undo the bottom spring holding the two shoes together - I use long nose pliers, but be careful as it'll spring off fast! Unhook the handbrake cable from the rear-most shoe (this will be obvious when you're there!). This should allow you to take the shoe mechanism out from the drum. Then, the adjuster mechanism will be accessible and you should be able to pry out the two components. The silvery component comes out nicely and the one it meshes its teeth with does not - if you are going to a breakers yard then the parts may be as rusty as mine and so you'll need lots of WD-40 and patience! Just tug the second component to coax it out of the brake shoe.

This hopefully will make a lot more sense when you have it in front of you and it is not too hard to do, just a bit fiddly. Please bear in mind that I am by no means a mechanic whatsoever so take this with caution! You'll need a 30" or 32" socket to get the hub nut off, also. Hope this helps.
