Thought I'd share this with you lot :)

Some of you may remember my old Pug 106 gti I had just over a year ago. I broke it for parts and gave the shell to my college tutor. I was doing a motorsport course for 3 years and finished last summer. So I missed the opportunity to help build this but still will update on the progress.

The shell was stripped, any excess weight had to go. The shell would be built around a frame/cage. The front would be chopped of and instead a frame would be built to accomodate the engine.

The car would need to look stock on the outside. ie would just look like any other track 106.

Here's some pictures I got sent of the progress so far, as you can see the Volvo T5 Turbo engine, 2.5 litres of power! (Same engine as the Focus ST for you kids)

I think its auto grass or something like that? Not to sure.

Will be rwd, hence the bigger rear arches to accomodate the bigger wheels and suspension travel.

Cage looks nuts, the body looks like a 1.1 though? Not that it makes a huge difference.

5 Years later the build still goes on. Cage is been updated as we speak. Volvo T5 motor driving the front wheels will be running OMEX 710 ECU.

Will post some more pics soon if anyone is interested.
