Spain look very uncertain when teams take the game to them. Their passing is outstanding, but similarly to Barcelona (surprisingly) a lot of their passing is just a pass for the sake of it. Italy have good passing that can carve a team open with one or two touches, much more direct team which - I think - is what could trouble Spain.

Spain also seem to have a "lets all grow a dodgy beard" pact going on just now, which is just bringing the game into disrepute!

Italy. They played better than Spain in the group match, and they have generally played more consistent and better football than the Spanish.

Will be interesting to see who controls the midfield, Pirlo or Xavi/Iniesta.
