After a good talk with Matt (Willsy) today on MSN he has now got the idea into my head of doing what he has done.....VT arches on my current car 1.0 Mischief....though was thinking of VTR axels etc so i get the brakes etc. but keeping the car the same colour, make it a 1 off VTR look-a-like. then at later date put in a VT engine of some kind...this is mainly because insurance on VTR now....£1.9k on my mums insurance, my dad also included on it.
or...if i go on my own insurance with mum and dad as named drivers, with mods or bodykit, air fliter and alloy wheels declared its comes in at just under £1.4k.
what you all recon? im thinkin modify my car.

Buy a VTR. A lot less hassle in the long run and easier to sell on in the future.

well i would modify the one you have IMO
but thats becuase i have 2 saxos a 1.0 and a 1.1 the 1.0 has the whole vt arch kit on it and looks good
But depends if you want performance i would get a vtr/s

Don't put your mum as the main driver, will only end in tears. Buy a furio?

Its all about the fun. Mod it any enjoy knowing that uve achieved it all yourself. If you have a VTR ull only want something quicker eventually, build up some NCB and whack a VTS engine in it when money permits.

Stick to your motor, get onto your own insurance to build up some no claims.
Don't bother with a vtr, save up for something better i.e vts or something quicker.

m8 i have a Furio, theyre 1.4i so ur stepping up and all the looks of a VTR. Cheap to insure and donkey work is done for you so you can build up your own no claims. Thats my suggestion...

You know when you see white lads acting black? not in a racist way... just acting all "blaCK" - black people laugh at this also...
Well anyway thats how I feel when I see a fake car, because thats what your car would be........ a fake vtr. It boggles my mind why people try to make their car LOOK like a faster one lol.
Anyway my advice is really think about it....... stick with the 1.0 for a year on ya own insurance then get a real vtr (save the money ur going to put into the fake vtr)
My opinion ^^^^^^^

maybe they are modding it to LOOK nice, and not actually tryin to give any false perception about speed.

how am i modding it to look like a VTR? im not going to be sticking on VTR alloys and VTR badges it could just as easy be a Furio look-a-like, or a VTS. would get VT kit because it looks miles better than a flat arched Saxo IMO

get a furio then ? you got an insurance quote on one of them?
Baz
7th August 2006, 12:24
yeh they are £1.6k again on my mums insurance, i really wanna get on my own insurance and build up some no claims tbh, i think £1.3k with induction declared and alloys if i bought any is a bargain seen as ive had 1 years driving exp...
maybe it be best to have my car for a year keep it as it is *pukes* then get VTR or something after i got a years no claims....

how:wacko:
He crashes, the insurer says hang on, this is your car, not your mums, she has a car and wouldn't be seen dead in a VTR and then they don't pay out. You end up 40grand in debt after everyone has sued you for whiplash and then get done for driving while uninsured

just buy my vtr and be done with it
i don't wanna be paying £1.9k for the next how ever many years when i could be paying a lot less if i stayed with my 1.0 until next year on my own insurance
