Do other insurance companies accept them as a whole years worth (insurance companies they do not offer bonus accelerators). I have looked and read and it seems debateable as people have said they do and they do not. I will hopefully have 1 years ncb in October but I have got a bonus accelerator with admiral. With other insurance companies will this count as a year or does it not. Does it depend on the insurance company? Anybody know? Cheers

Cheers for the link bud but still some people say yes and no. I suppose I will find out when my insurance is due in October.

My opinion as I've answered this on a previous occasion...

The ten month accelerator bonus policies are basically there to give drivers the impression that they're getting a years no claims bonus/discount cheap (over a ten month period). The only way you will get that years no claims bonus/discount is if you re-newed with that same company or took out a policy with another who take the ten months as a year. The majority of companies don't because ten months is ten months and not one year.

I was offered this ten month policy by Elephant but one of their advisors told me how it worked and the problems I may encounter when I come to renew. So I paid the little extra for a twelve month policy which meant I get a years no claims bonus/discount and I can carry that year over to another company.
