Hey guys am looking to buy some new rims for my vtr, am quite taken with a set of speedline silver comp 2's in 16" with falken 40 profiles on. Am not sure if 15's would be better for comfort and handling as i already have it lowered 50mm ish on apex springs and shocks which are pretty firm already. Though i really do like the look of 16's they look sexy as and fill the arches nicely! more rim less tyre! ;)
Advice welcome from anyone whos had any experience with 16's and how they feel? looking for a nice trade off between looks and handling , just have standard vtr 14s atm, bored shitless of them!
Thanks :)

15" = lighter and cheaper tyres.

I would go for 15" wheels, 50 profiles will fill your arches!

Anything over 15 on a Saxo is wrong IMO
And as said.. 16" tyres are a rip

Even though that does look nice ^ stick with 15"'s for all the reasons above..
Down 50mm on 16s with 40 profile:

Down 50mm on 15s with 45 profile:

Down 50mm on 14s with 55 profile

Should help you out :)
Also, doesn't rub on full lock or with a car full of people on any of the above

Go 15" with 195/45.... Looks perfekt and is the samme size as original you wont get clearance issues. 195/50 looks too big and will rub the inner arches on the back if you fill up the boot...

Thanks for the replies guys, but think im gonna go with the 16's with 40 profiles, They look spot on in baz's picture :) my only concern is the width is 7" on most 16's will i have any rubbing issues on full lock even with the correct offset?
Not sure what offset mine are unfortunatly but i'm running 25mm up front and 30mm on the rear as 25mm on the rear was catching the rear beam as i'm on drums.
If worst comes to the worst and they catch just buy some 20mm hubcentric spacers for some extra poke :)
