I was 20 when I got my first car too, had my licence 2 years.
I went with Elephant.co.uk.
I was still ass raped, paid £175 a month for the first 10 months Third Part Fire and Theft.
Then £120 f/c after I got the 10 months accelerated NCB.

Try admiral multicar or something like that. And insure everyone in your family too sounds daft but brings your insurance down a bomb load. A lad I know has cheaper insurance than mine on an RX-8 and he's 2 years younger. Insurance won't really drop significantly till you hit like 25 anyways and some companies allow you to build some no claims. Some will even accept just being a named driver as proof.

Admiral is a good'n for young drivers. Im 19 on a 1.4 Furio and paying 1700 which is reasonable imo.
