My 1998 vtr has ..
bosch mp7.2
0261204929
963318468
now im trying to track down a ecu but its proving quite the task!
i have however found one out of a 1998 vtr but it model number differs to mine?
bosch mp5.2
0261204628
9630278580
can i just plug this in and use this?
Or if i get it re programmed could i use it for mine?

The earlier vtrs like mine have a single plug ecu, and the later a 3plug ecu.
If mine and the one from the scrappies are both single plug vtr ecu's from 1998 cars, but with different model numbers ie the mp5.2 instead of mp7.2 could i not just use one of them?
Id need it unlocked tho?
Ps citroen want approx £486 +vat ...cry
help !

Right yes if they are both single plug they will work... I ran a 1.1 on a 1.4 ax forte ECU lol... they should have very similar settings... and if you get the transponder from the donor car along with the key and pick-up ring you're laughing
