Hi, just setting up an active sub, but how do i connect the remote wire into the back of the headunit ? There is no connector, just the end of the remote wire, will i need to crimp this or something to get it into the headunit ?
Help asap will be appreciated, Cheers

on back of headunit, on the iso connectors there will be a blue wire doing nothing , not plugged into anything etc, strip wire back about 1cm , put a crimp or bullet crimp on the end, do same to the remote cable and crimp together.

the cable with the sticker saying system remote control is the one to crimp to your remote wire :)

And to think Danny mocked me for writing a how to guide.
Saxp needs a search button imo

Yer it needs a good search, I found a guide before, then couldn't find it again. I think Danny only mocked you because yours was similar to the already made one :)

Also, twisting them together and taping them up will do the trick won't it?

thats the pikey way.
all you need is a crimp and pair of pliers if you haven't got the proper crimping tool.
pack of crimps ususally cost 3 or £4 (pk of 100)

I didn't bother connecting mine to the headunit. I installed my sub the other day.
Wrap the remote wire around the fuse for the radio, that way each time your radio is on it will send power to your amp.
Literally pull out fuse number 4 (red one) and wrap the remote wire around the fuse and plug it back in, sorted.

for the sake of 5 mins to fit it, id rather do it the proper way :)

For the sake of saving 4 minutes 30 seconds of your life, I'd rather do it the fuse way.

The remote wire won't start a fire if it comes loose lol, it will only stop the amp turning on when you start the car

if it comes off, the only thing that will happen is that the amp wont work lol.
a power cable from battery to amp wont even cause a fire, it just pops fuses, so cant see why a remote cable can cause one lol.
