Hey lads just got a sub and amp and i have pheonix gold front componants which i would like to amp. I am going to bridge 2 channels for the sub and use 2 channels for the components.
My question is how do i rewire the headunit so that the front speakers are amped WITHOUT running new wires to the doors. I remeber when i last had it done, my mate rewired behind the head unit so the speakers were amped.
Do i just snip the wire on the ISO block leading to each speaker and extend them to the boot and connect them to the amp using speaker wire?
cheers in advance.

basically, yes, but it's always recommended to replace the factory wires.

run a set of wires from the amp then get a female iso block and just plug it into the male block behind the radio.

yeah thats what i would do but im not that big on I.C.E tech. If you set the amp up for the sub wont all the frequencys be set low. you need the amp set up for mid for components or am i wrong.

Settings on a Four Channel Amplifier

Four channel amplifiers have front and rear chnnels. Settings can be different for both. A Low Pass Filter can be applied to the rear channels (bridged) to run a subwoofer and a High Pass Filter can be applied to the front channels in order to run a component set.
OEM Speaker Wire
It is possible to use the original wire, but not advisable. It is very high AWG wire used to carry power delivered from the head unit (around 15-20 RMS, maybe not even that) to the speakers. Amping them would usually need a thicker speaker wire.
