Get the diesel. Wayyyy better than the petrol.
Plus the resale value in the dervs will be much higher come time to sell

Test drove one last year, too much funky shit in there for me.
If you buy a car for the driving experience, look elsewhere.
They're 'nippy', 'grippy' but so so so booring!

I've driven a diesel
Very nice to drive and was pretty quick for a standard diesel, remap would make it nice and drivable

Modded ones they're growing on me :/

The petrol THP engine is from the mini cooper, 1.6 turbo.
But they suffer from a load of problems. My mate had one brand new and within a year it was misfiring.
The diesel go really well for what they are, the e-hdi engine..
I think theyre really nice to drive, few nice gadgets..
If i was to get one try go for full leathers and sat nav, theyre really nice with them.
I drove the THP and i admit i really liked it, but the problems put me off lol
P.S i work for citroen, i drove 2 DS3s today, D-sport and the 1.6 petrol 120bhp.
D-sport nicest btw lol

The one I drove was a too spec diesel with all leather etc
Was a hire car, so to say I test drove it was an understatement :Homme:
Was pleasantly surprised, be a nice daily driver

They are fucking awful. Every single one I've seen has a 40-50 yr old woman driving it.
It's a supermarket car, buy something real that is remotely fun to drive.

I personally Like them.
Because of the huge colour range, they always look different :y:
Most reviewers sing it praise, Top Gear awarded it car of the year 2011 :A:
Go for a test drive and see what you make of it.
Nicely style, modern, tech filled car & the build quality is the best Citroen have achieved for years :fcuk:
Those saying its boring and dull ... have you driven it?
It's always old people driving them ... uhuh Its also elderly driving sports cars (http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=389969&highlight=old+people+driving), So are all those cars shit aswell?

I like them, but as already said the diesel is the best option for poke:resale
The only thing I dislike about them is the uber chavvy alloy options. Nothing a set of 18 inch Superleggera GTs can't sort

contrary to popular belief, i wouldnt recommend the diesel, i have a C4 VTS 16v Hdi, it drives well, though, its gutless really considering, the power is laggy, nothing until 2k then nothing happens still and i only get 40mpg ish. The price to buy it and insure it, if i had known now, i would have a VTS petrol. Infact, no, i wouldnt have bought the car, i would have bought a Golf 1.9tdi.
the saxo is quicker and more economical, but much less comfortable.
My mum had a 307 2.0hdi 90 8v, that would only do about 105mph flat out, but averaged like 65mpg running round town. if they still make that engine, have that one! its ace

The c4 vts is available with a 2.0 hdi lump which is quicker and more efficient than the 1.6 but falls into the higher tax band
