got a new addition to the family, was a bit of an impulse buy lol

was in the garden centre yesterday and saw a load of turtles, i thourght to myself, im going to get one of those lol

so i did, totally mad creatures, they just eat like pigs and you can watch them all day lol

was told it will grow to around 10" and can do some damage if they bite you when they are that big :( :)

will get some pics up when i have time.

lol they swim around like loonies, they sit on a bit of dry land in the tank and bask under the heat lamp then swim around in the water.

ive never it make a noise yet, not sure if they do or not?

they can smell, but you have to remove and food they dont eat straight away and keep they water clean.

they just eat and eat, shrimps, prawns, chicken, meat, pellets, plants, letuce, tomatos, potatoes, worms, meal worms, crickets, spiders and loads more. dust little dustbins lol

pretty coool. i love animals endless amounts of fun. i cant remember whether its turtles or tortoises you needa license for now as one or the other will outlive most of their owners and have to be left in a will to their "next of kin" post some pics!!:P

i think its tortoises iwannasaxo.... an they take loads of looking after i thought they would be good pets but they dont do anything just sleep and eat and occasionly dissapear for few days :(

lol it needs to be able to bask under the heat tube as they are cold blooded and need to warm up on land :) hence the reason for the slop. going to revamp the layout at the weekend.

think it will outgrow the tank in a few months tho
