Interesting!

I've no idea how EU agreements can be forced, or whether there was some form of "get out clause" for the previous government, but that is pretty poor.

There were plans to sell out and privatise the track a few years ago but that never got under way so will be interesting to see if they get a buyer or an investor to take the burden

Pretty sure the current Gov will inject a stake as Gerrmany needs the F1 each year to help it's economy. Can't see them wanting to lose that

surely it would just go to hockenheim instead?

Hokenheim say they can't afford to host it every year. Not sure what the cost implications are, or whether hosting goes out to tender or the highest bidder

They fucked up when they tried to create 'nurodisney' IMO.

They invested money into trying to make it a family destination when really its not and never going to be one.

At the price of a lap (and the over inflated prices if you crash) I fail to see how the track isn't profitable, I guess heavy interest payments to the bank on the outstanding loans are not helping.

Its sad to see it in trouble, even if it is massively over hyped by alot of people.

It's been said before but I'll say it again

If the ring goes Germany's e onomy will be fucked.. The amount of revenue and trade that place brings per year must be astounding.. And form a large portion of their annual business
