i wanted a run about. something more comfortable than the saxo vtr and a bit more up market (i am 32).

so parted with £2,800 today for a anthricite 2.0 16v petrol (claimed 180bhp).

i had hoped to do a few little mods to the c4 but bugger me theres not a lot to offer for them is there lol

springs and a panel filter :panic:

any other c4 owners on here? :geek:

Nice enough ride, a lot of car for the money anyway. I'd have those VTS badges off the side, even though they are stock they look wrong and halfords esque.

i have one! your right mate, there is sod all to buy for them other tham oem parts. we get spoilt with our saxos, years of companys making go faster bits for them means you can pretty much have anything off the shelf.

i have the VTS hdi diesel il add, pretty gutless but does drive smoothly and nice! at £2800 what is the milage?

sexy_gt
19th July 2012, 08:29
milage is 89,000 was previously a reps car so mostly motorway miles :)

service history right up to now! lots of it too.

yeah wheels are a touch shite.

got to tax it this morning and put some miles on it :)

yeah apart from those its quite a sleeper, not that its all that fast lol

if removed do they leave holes like on the saxo boot or are they sticky foam underneath? they do look out of place.

I actually prefer the 5 door hatch but nice enough cars and pretty cheap nowadays

We used to have a 55 plate 5 door which was a decent run about.

Have you managed to get the rev counter to change colour yet? ;)

I quite like these tbh, seen a few red ones around and they look really nice. Only thing is with yours is the wheels don't do it for me but other than that looks like a tidy motor.

Love the look of these, great colour!

My dad has the VTR Loeb edition in black with the black wheels and its certainly grown on me from when i first saw them on the road. My god though the doors seem massive length-wise! Maybe just me being used to 'hatches' all these years.

I do like the split dash and the steering wheel with the solid centre is pretty cool :)

Mr_X

now its lowered 40mm

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v212/sexy_gt/cv%20vts/2012-07-21133226.jpg

to drive its decent, very comfy, smooth and quiet. power from the 2.0 is good. not as responsive as a stock vts but a decat, ind kit and possibly a remap may be on the cards.

and wheels lol

not sure if i should buy some new 1.2 TD rims and keep my tyres or up it to 18".

I had one, not long got rid of it actually :) Was a lovely car and I love the looks/Styling. Just a shame about the problems with it, 'air pollution faulty' being one of them!

Not a fan at all :(

However I do hear they ride very well, so I'd imagine its a pleasant enough daily.

Word of advice...never mod a daily as it then becomes 'not a daily'

I was trying to work out why you thought it wasn't as responsive as a Saxo then realised the engines carrying 33 stone more than it is in my car!

Looks much better now it's lowered! Keep up the progress! Defo get shot of them wheels lol
