White 3 Stud 1.0i Saxo (Soon to be Two Tone White / Black)

This is my 3 stud 1.0L T-reg Saxo, 69k on the clock, picked it up for £550 (private sale) as well as managing to get the next 12 months MOT on top off the seller. Upon closer inspection after buying the motor it turns out its been fitted with VTS steering wheel (with airbag) rear door cars (with the rear speakers) and the MkII Dashboard (preferably aim to change this to the 106 dash).

Im 18 on tuesday and work only both days of the weekend so money is not abundant by any means, the changes i have made to this saxo have been through complete bargains...

Since buying the car i have;

Removed the stickers

Sprayed badges satin black

De-Wipered it

Picked up a 12" Alpine Type R, JBL 6 x 9's + Sony Xplod 1200w amp for £90 (Fitted)

Picked up 4 brand new tyres with 4 flawless 3 stud saxo alloys for £90 (Not yet fitted - Still rolling on hubs whilst on provisional)

Pair of tinted saxo rear lights - Scrapyard £20 (Not yet fitted)

Replaced stock interior (blue, had some paint stains and burns) with a spotless 106 Gti Interior (black / grey / gold) £20 off a mate (Fitted)

Replaced barry job mdf parcel shelf with 106 gti parcel shelf, same mate, £10 (Fitted)

Replaced the clutch with the help of a friend £60 for clutch kit (Fitted)

Picked up a whole set of VTR panels front and rear bumpers included in Black for £30 (Not yet fitted, aiming for White / Black two Tone after i pass)

Gave her a good wash, colour restore, polish and bumper restore..

Next on list is too Replace the bonnet which was clearly black once before but aero soled white and not laqured as well as the front left quarter panel which has a couple of mouldy dents ... if anyone knows anyone selling either of these panels in white get in contact!

I will take a more recent picture of the interior soon, plans are too get rid of the rest of that nasty green on the door cars and dash and just go Black / White, going to take up all the carpet and roof lining + door pillars - coat of primer and few coates of satin black, i have already done this with the badges, fan covers on either side of the dash, saving for collies so will have it on its arse when i can afford it. Like i said this my first car and has been built on bargains with money earned by shite pay weekend work and other things here and there, definatly not mum + dads money, cant stand that.

A mate of mine has offered me the bits for the 4 stud conversion, if the price remains within the 'bargain' theme ill take it, these 3 stud alloys i got with 4 brand new unworn tyres are currently kawasaki green ... Debating whether to powder coat em in white when they get fitted along with the black VTR skirts / bumpers / arches / door panels ... What do you think?

Rough idea of what it will look like...

cant decide whether to go for vts spoiler or gti spoiler, as it will be my first years insurance (No no claims etc.) Im hopeing i can get away with 'Manufacturer fitted' on the alloys, vtr kit, rear lights and vts spoiler if i choose too fit it.

The difference between the two dashboards as far as i know is the mk1 dash's glovebox is ontop of the dash as opposed to being on the front, there is more space in the mkII dash :)

Funnily enough i picked it up from the lad as follows: Green seat covers, green + white colour coding, green strip light in the passenger footwell, green LED's on both doors :wall: oh, and some green SaxP stickers.

Was yours 3 stud? 3 stud breaks are pretty poor tbh, debating whether too do 4 stud conversion, any threads on 3 - 4 stud conversion that you know of?

Door cards have been popped off along with the glove box, i rubbed them down, primered them then a couple of coates of satin black ... slowly getting rid of that mouldy green.

Afraid not mate they are the same, models with passenger airbags have the glove box on top as the airbag is where the glove box should be, whether it's a mk1 or mk2

More progress (however slow) :

Door Cards now both satin black, glove box too follow.

Speaker Covers gloss white.

Next Steps:

Remove roof lining - Spray satin black

Get the alloys + VT kit rubbed down and resprayed

Pass Driving Test
