rite, the otha nite i was on my way to basildon, and i didnt no the way so i followed my mates cars, there was 3 of em. They were all following each other closely, and i was a fair few metres back cos i dont see the point of bein up sum1s arse. I had 3 passengers in my car, and i swear i saw 1 bright white flash, but none of my mates did. So eitha i was trippin out, or i got caught by a camera. The thing is my mates were driving a lot faster most of the way there, and probs faster wen i tink i went passed this camera, but they didnt set it off. I dont even know if there is a camera there, cos it was at nite.
I was just wondering, will i definately get points if it was a camera, cos i heard some people dont get charged cos there is no film in the camera or woteva. any ideas?

you'd be lucky if there wasnt film in

if you havnt heard anything for about 2 weeks you should be ok

but you will defo get points if its you, unless someone else takes them for you.

As above, you'd be lucky if there wasn't film and they have to get the NIP to you within 2 weeks, but allow 3 weeks because ofpostage delays etc.

Probably imagined it mate. Were there any cars behind as it could have been a bump in the road and a car headlight flicking up. It needs to fklash twice to catch you as it measures the distance between the two flashes. I would say you are safe bud.

i got told that only 1 in 4 camera`s actually has film in them

The newer cameras don't use film any more. They take digital photos which are sent straight to the DVLA, who then deal with each case. They are now designed like that so that they can't run out of film.

a've had one flash twice at me about 7months ago and never heard anything. unless a was just lucky.

it does need to flash twice, they measure how fast you're going by your position against the lines in the two photos

i've heard recently that you can get a ticket anything up to 6 months after the offence. not sure how true that is though. My mum got hers through in less than 2 weeks when she got hers

you may have been lucky mate.........

Why not drive back down the road and see if there is a camera there.

Good idea - just make sure you're UNDER the speed limit, just in case there is one!

i drove down the road last night, and there werent any of the speed cameras which are in the yellow boxes, but there was this like sign of the side of the road, it was one of them ones with the digital display if you know what i mean, says stuff like drive safely and all dat. On top of that there was 2 cameras, one facing each way. They were like cylinder shapes, i dno if they are speed cameras or not, or if they are just for watching traffic etc.

Ul just have to wait but the rule is it has to flash twice. If u do get anything ask for the photos, iv been told if they cant produce the photos then ur off the hook cos theres no proof. Plus i got flashed a couple of years bk n recieved nothing but more n more are becomin digital. Just wait it out mate and good luck!

well heres some facts: unless 2 evidence photos are sent to you within 14 days, you are innocent. also, i have been flashed when not over the limit sometimes, and heared nothing. And i know of cameras that my aunty and her m8 used to fly past and set off for fun because they found out it has no film - they would set it off like 20 times in a ro. lol, i wouldnt try it myself

they cant procescute you after 14days after the offense, if it doesnt come within 2 weeks youll get off with it,
them cameras sound like traffic cams and there fine
and it will need to flash twice to measure your speed.
