is it possible to tell what watt the wiring kit is for just by looking at the wires do they have numbers on or owt

The only thing it can tell you is the current mate i belive? I dont think its whe wattage you worry about just the current going through that will eventually melt it if it gets too high.

The cable length affects what wattage a cable can carry. So no its not possible to tell by looking at it. Neither can cable tell you what current it can carry.
The correct way to do it is
Work out the total size of the fuses in your amps.
Then measure the distance you want the cable to run (About 4.5m in a Saxo)
Basically up to 20amps use 8 gauge
" " " 35amps use 6 gauge
" " " 65amps use 4 gauge
" " " 105amps use 2 gauge
" " " 150amps use 0 gauge
After that yor looking at multiple runs or 00 gauge.
Measurement in watts means sod all really when it comes to power.
