Hello! my poor little saxo isnt too well.
Bought it 4 months ago and has always run a little hot (about 60% on gague), gave it a once over after taking it home and there was pure oil in the water...the girl had topped up the oil and put it in the wrong hole. I flushed it and re-filled with water a coolant and thought i had all the air out. Ran fine from then on until last week started running hotter and hotter and into the red. Had it checked out with its MOT and little service last week and they said that there were air locks and they released valves and it seemed to now run fine. Have since done about 400 miles in it (temp gague sitting bang in the middle) and today it went back into the red. There seems to be water leaking from the rhs bottom of the rad and is low on water. I can hear water 'moving' behind the dash. lt also sounds clunky and rattley and didnt before.

Ive read through alot of the posts on here and dont know if its just radiator or if the leak is a symptom and caused by pressure and/or head gasket or something else ive missed or a combo.

There is no gunk in the oil or water caps.

w reg and done 95,000

Any advice/ideas would be gratefully recieved!! Am broke and would like to have a better idea of what it might be before potentially being ripped off due to my auto ignorance.

Thanks and sorry for long post x

Sounds like you have air in the cooling system & a corroded radiator, mine rotted at the bottom mate.
