Now all the parts are in place I figure its time to start talking about the build.

Having experienced everything from small ponies to 3000+ ponies from SCCA Autocross full to 6 second Alcohol Funny Cars from Dubs to Scoobies and back from Single Life..... To MARRIED..... <----- the deciding factor..... LOL

Money is tighter now a days, I dont live abroad any more, and I don't work on race cars anymore and I certainly dont drive the big boys toys any more.
So I decided that its time to do something on a budget that at the same time is a tonne of fun.
So after some research I decided it was time for a Saxo or a 106, luck have it a very cheap VTR 03 plate came along and for £300 i was on route to my goal...

After getting the car I started to plan the route I wanted to go.... This was difficult, because I wanted to try something new, I've played with and built Bikes and Cars, for both road and track. Primarily Big Turbo builds as I was focussed more on drag racing for cars, or extremely well balanced road/track bikes

So I finally opted for Throttle Bodies, only ever worked on throttle bodies with bikes, never done a N/A car...

So heres the planned spec thats already in the shed ready to go when the build starts in a couple of weeks time when I celebrate my 1st Anniversary.... maybe not such a good idea... but hey I am the man of the house and she can only divorce me right LOL

03 Plate Vtr 8V... < Get rid of that
00 VTS 16V...... Hard choice after working alot with VR6 12V I love to work on 2V per cylinder.

Well, I cant tell a lie..... today I'm as happy as they come...
Had a base map to start with, Shaun O'Donnell from MS2Tuning (http://www.ms2tuning.com/index.html) drove over from Lincolnshire, tweaked the startup map for 20mins, then we went for a drive on the M62 and 3 hours later I have a car that puts a very very BIG smile on my face....
Oh yeah its a megasquirt MS2 extra essentially.....
The whole job from start to finish was £100 including £40 for fuel, what an awesome guy to work with cant wait now to put it on the dyno and see what it makes from a road tune, but sure as hell feels good, im gonna guess at around 150 to 160ish....
Will have to see....

If anyone in the middle of the country is looking for any mapping, be it MegaSquirt to Motec, this guy is great.
