Just about to go and look at my next project, a 206 GTi. Just as I came off the phone the bloke said, oh by the way, the OSR suspension arm is seized so its a bit of a hard ride!!
Would this be the bearings where the rear arm slides on the axel, not sure how else the arm would have seized ??
Any help appreciated as would like to buy if not too bigger job.
Cheers

yes it'll be fooked bearings, its much the same design as the saxo/106, one of the parts is the same IIRC.
as it has seized the trailing arm is probably fine but you will need a new crossmember as the bearing surfaces will be well past it.

Would you need a whole cross member for that or is there little stub axles on the ends of cross member that could be replaced?

depends how capable you are and the tools you have access to.

Probably out of my depth if its a tricky one plus lack of time.
A mate said it could also be the 'brake load sensor' has siezed? Like a lever with a spring on one end which may free off he said? Never heard of it so dunno if he's right or not?

he's way off the mark, that wont affect the suspension.

How will I tell this, will the shaft the bearings sit on be pitted/scored?

Took a gamble and bought the 206. Suspension is hard on OSR but still drives ok. MOT expired yesterday but bought for £475 so not unhappy. Mint condition inside & out, 2001, Dark blue, FSH. Seemed to good to turn down.
Will start stripping suspension down when time
