My cv boot popped off as the clip broke, so just gonig to slap a jubilee clip on it, but will any old grease do to refill it with or is it a specialist one?

Clean all the old shit contaminated grease out with wd40 or brake cleaner then use a good quality cv grease normally blue or red.

dont use a jubilee clip, use a decent cable tie or a proper CV boot clip.

CV grease is normally dark grey or green.

Put a new boot on as well whilst your there.... Might as well and the old boot will be knackered now its fallen off...

Yeah whats wrong with a jubilee clip? They are better than a cable tie!

I put a jubilee clip on my CV.. it cut through what was left of the CV boot lol.

I'll try cable ties next time :y:

This has happened to both my front CV boots, the solution my dad managed to get working was to use a big cable tie, and also some strong glue to help keep the cv boot in place.

One of them has been in place for 2 years now never fallen off :y:
