Hi!
My 52 Reg 1.1 Saxo still has its EML on after taking it to the garage 3 months ago (they changed the cooling fan) then it was fine until last week. I took it back to the garage and they changed the coil pack and the spark plugs. Light was off and all was fine for 1 day. Then the light came on again (and remains). There is also a tractor-like engine noise and deceleration that happens only after driving for a while (50-60 min and it happens on motorways/dual carriageways). I'm not sure that last bit is relevant but I endeavour to describe all my observations. The noise and deceleration don't occur when travelling short-ish journeys.
Sorry about the long question but I'm getting frustrated with this and as I'm off on a road trip in 5 days I need to get this sorted once and for all.
Hoping someone will be able to help! (I'm taking it back to the garage again tomorrow but last week they didn't find any fault with it so not holding much hope...)
Thank you!

Hello!
Ideally we need to know the fault code been flagged up when the MIL (engine light) comes up - the MIL could be up for the same reasons as before or for a new reason.

Best bet is to get it read either by a garage or a friendly local saxper with a reader and go from there.

Cheers!
