Matte paint is so hard to look after, not really worth the hassle if its your daily

new thread, and more plans on wasting money instead of listening to the general consensus from the last thread. Don't see the point in going from red red to matt red on a 3 stud flatarch, absolutely pointless.

GLWS anyway when it comes to selling a saxo.
however OP I wouldn't bother because matte paint looks fucking shit unless you have a ridiculously nice looking car, which a saxo isn't let alone a 1.1 saxo.

as he's planning on allsorts of pointless mods, it's pointless in the sense that he completely bypasses the option of purchasing a better car without the hassle. Or maybe you should explain to me why a rattle can job for a complete respray is not pointless. It's like buying black sacks, stick em on the windows and call it custom privacy glass.

How is lowering a pointless mod?

you'll get it once you find yourself at the wheel of a gti, "shit if I had known that before I wouldn't have spent all that dough on the flatarch". Don't forget to declare your mods to the insurance by the way.

surely if thats how you think then doing any kind off mod to a saxo/106, whatever the model is pointless?
i spent over £1500 modding my vtr when i had it, because i wanted to. The car was still just a saxo but it was MY saxo and i had it how I wanted it, isnt that what modding is all about?
i guess anyone who wants to smoke their headlights or fit some new alloys should get told its pointless to yeah? Shit my old alloys cost half the price of my saxo OMGZ! totaly pointless mod for the value of the car, doh!
look at wayne for example, imagine the kind of car he could of bought for what he has spent on his saxo! but he done what HE wanted to do. dont believe ive seen many moan at him or tel him it was pointless.. so why should it be diff for this guy?
modding is NOT about what may be the "better" option, its about expresing yourself, doing things your way anm geting your motor how YOU want it, regardless of cost.

i don't see how its pointless its his car after all but oh well. imo i wouldn't go for a matte colour unless its something expensive that i drive once in a while. but if you want to do it go ahead :y:
