Stupid question, but here goes:

I'm currently running a new 4 ch Kenwood amp to power my front components and rears. Once it's all running via the RCA leads, would there be any need to keep the standard speaker wire block connected into the back of the head unit?

Thanks in advance

Nope. You might even have an option to turn off the internal amp in the head unit to save power/stop it getting as hot etc. My Alpine does.

Nice one buddy. I'll get it all wired up and see about the internal amp switch.
Thanks for the quick reply btw.

I'm just hoping that don't get any issues with dimming headlights. Sub is active and only 250w rms and the 720 watt Kenwood amp is only 60 watts rms per channel too. Smallish setup yes, but I'm sure it'll sound so much better than the standard stuff, plus front comps and rear coaxials ftw.

I'm gonna post some pics of how I'm getting on soon too.

Thx again man.
