this ones better imo

http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=427847&st=0

but all cars that gey that level of attention to detail are imo a waste cars are for driving
if its tatty and abused but still clean it shows its used for what it was built for
ford built the rs to go fast
not sit in a garage looking shiny

When I can afford ;)

I'll be keeping the clipper for a full strip down rebuild though. Very few GTi clippers left nowadays ;)

The guy that did that restoration has tried to sell that fiesta though, because he moved on to restoring a MK1 Golf...

I would love to do it and it would have to be the right car, something super old or super rare

Didn't the golf get crashed into?

Think that was someone else posting in his thread that showed what happened after he'd sold a MK1 Golf that he'd restored, cos they guy who restored the Fiesta was saying he was thinking about restoring a Golf. There is a link at the end of the Fiesta thread to the new project.

Not a lot of progress on it yet though!

great thread! though, not that uncommon, if you go on Passionford its swarming with people dumping thousands into old cosworths and RSturbos! I love reading through them!

ive done a restoration on a mk1 fiesta and can say its gets EXPENSIVE! thinking i may do a VTS in a couple years when they are all rotted and old.

Keen eye ;) ;)

i had a caliper drop on my 1.1 when the bolt decided to work loose, luckily happened at low speed, rather than the half hour before when I was on the M6!
