im stuck, i need a 41mm spanner or tube socket but ive failed to find one at my local halfrauds where can i get one any ideas?. im trying to remove a ball joint of my 307. do you think a pug dealer might have one ?

Screwfix will let you buy things online and reserve them for store collection...might save you a journey if they are out...
Best advice would be to get on the blower and see what stock levels are like at the shop before leaving the house?

Have a wander around tool stand at a market, they usually have 3ft adjustable spanners! It's impressive the first time you see one

thanks for the advise but i couldnt even find one at tool station and screw fix. looks like i have to wait and order one online :(

tried them they just slip every time, i fudged my hand yesterday so im a bit skeptical about using them.

I find the bigger the nut the better an adjustable becomes.

Get some stillsons screwfix ect will have loads in stock they will grip on the bolt or gsf motor factors any good car parts shop will sell large sockets
also 1inche drive socket sets are worth buying i have one 20mm up to 50mm use it alot

41mm nut pretty sure it would be ok after and if he replacing the ball joint there will be new one with it

I think a 41mm might be ok with a decent adjustable. Where are you from i might be able to help you out if your local

the 41mm bit IS the balljoint, 16 or 18mm nut on the end of it, you will need a deep socket, preferably 6 sided, do not bother trying a spanner.
