Been to the doctors today because my back keeps locking up and having muscle spazms (sp).
Anyways, she said it's right at bottom of back and it's a good time to go see the physio. She has put the appointment through and i'm waiting for it, anybody else been to see one? What happens?

varies from physio to physio. you could have manipulation and mobilisation done, they give you excercises to help strenghten area. or massage, or injections, or accupuncture... lazer, etc......

yeah because even though it feels fine you could still have a buggered back.
I had a trampolining accident many years ago when doing a back summie (landed on my sweet head). Had back trouble soon after which then 'got better' until i mucked up another back summie months later and crunched my head into the trampoline again. Had I gone for check on my back after the first incident i might have got some treatment which may have sorted my back to an actually good condition. Now i cant trampoline with it hurting like hell.
Go for the physio regardless of how you feeling.

YES GO TO PHYSIO!
Lower back pain is a very common occourence! it will possible be linked to your posture, and lifestyle... physio will help highlight the problems and start to be preventative measures in place for you - providing you see a good one & they know there stuff. IMO i think all physio's should perform a postureal assesment in the cases of low back pain!
Id advise you start looking at functional abdominal training and movement patterns. Pilates is a start!

defo mate i did a similar thing when i was younger but i left it, then i did it again last year and i couldnt walk for two days.( bruised disc and trapped nerves, fucking painful) sessions and lots of excersise it was fine. i had imbalanced posture from the first time and it sorted everything out.

you may have a long wait for an appointment.
In Liverpool referrals can take a long time due to waiting lists.
On the plus side most physios are females!

I got my appointment through yesterday.
The letter was dated 31 August and I seem to remember yesterday was 11 September. Anyways..I got a group discussion first on Tuesday from 2.30 till 4pm and then they make appointments for you to attend depending on your condition.
My girlfriends sister went to Physio about her back. She said the group discussion was full of old gits and that her appointment was every 3 month.
I hope it gets sorted this time..

Just had another two days of work experience and looking to study physiotherapy next year at uni so if anybody need help just ask ill try my best!
physio can be quite expensive yes, (£45 p/hr in some cases) but i see it as how much your worthy good health. Its an investment for good overall skeletal and muscualr body functions if you ask me.
