I gave my VTR a full tank of fuel last week, it took 35 litres of unleaded from the red light to full. I wondered why it only took 35 litres, because Saxos have a tank capacity of 45 litres but these questions have been answered Here.... (http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42220)

I have only used the car for running around for work and seeing the girlfriend. Only been to Bolton Abbey once, which is mostly 60 stretches.

I won't say how manys i have got from mine, but i am wanting to know two MAIN questions from you guys.

How many litres does your VTR take from red light (morealess when it comes on) to full?

How many miles do you get from the tank on running around town areas?

Thanks for any help,

Luke

on town driving the VTR should get around 28MPG.

How do I exactly work out the MPG? I know how many litres i got on last fill up and how manys i got before the light come on?

nevermind... if you getting something horrendous like 200miles between full and red light on the tank. then its apparently about right.

Mpg = (miles/litres)*4.55

Just worked out my MPG, i'm getting about 38MPG around town on the miles i have done on this tank.

That's pretty good tbh. My girlfriend is getting 34MPG from her 1.25 Zetec Fiesta, but her body is heavier and smaller engine means she is using the gas more.

it does hold 45 litres because when i put two 20 litre petrol drums in mine the otherday.
so you probs had about 10 litre's left
red like comes on to warn you your low, not empty.

38mpg round town is excellent. 28mpg round town aint too good, think you must be thrashing it a bit to get that low. (IMO)

Is that with 45 litres of fuel Matt?

I have just filled it up now, could only squeeze 38 litres in.
