I've done a head gasket on my 1.1 (HFX) saxo, it won't start now. Everything is plugged in etc. Timing seems to me spot on (double and triple checked), fuel seems to be getting to the injectors, coil pack is working just about to change the spark plugs. The car hasn't been ran since march so I am unsure of whether it started before as I wa given the car for free but I know it used to run. Any other information can be given if needed. Thanks

Not all of them the HFX engine is the newest 1.1 and has 4 injectors

How do you know the coilpack is working?

You say the fuel is getting TO the injectors... Are the injectors releasing fuel?

I have two Saxos so coil packs were swapped over. And I am not sure that will be something to check.

Does it turn over but not fire?

What lights are on dash if any?

Pump priming?

To save hassle removing all the injector's - Pop the fuel pipe off - prime the pump to check if fuel's getting to the rail..

If it is but still not starting - Take the air filter off and pour abit of petrol down the intake while cranking - if it fires - injector's aren't spraying.

have you taken off the cap at the end of the fuel rail and pressed the pin in. (like a tyre valve) this will purge the rail of air, if you allow for some fuel to run out of here.

Just as an update, took the injectors out etc, found some faulty wiring going to the injectors. Meant that the injectors were not firing Hence not starting. Thanks for the help though guys. Good to have more than one opinion on things!
