I keep being told i can't have 205/40/16s on my car, but in the 'how to guide' says i can, and alot of the cars in 'Your cars' have 205's on.

Would it make any differance if i put spacers on? would i lose performance? i'm looking for maximum grip with top performance, please help.

who said you cant? Might be the wheels your putting them on are to narrow? No reason why not though

205/40/16?

People run 195 but im sure you can get 205. But ive not seen many tyre brands that do them.

I'm runin 205/40/16's and have cut some of the rear arches away for clearance. I've not got any scrubbing on the rear. But.... on the front I have major problems with full lock to the left as it rubs on the lower rad pipe!!!!! I've got a 205D pipe in place that is shaped to push the pipe further away form the tyre. I too would like to find out what spacers and bolts I require??? KUMHO tyres £45 each

Would u lose performance putting on spacers? Blue_devil is it rubbing on the engine bay as i've got 205/40/17s and its rubbing on full lock so thats y i thought i would get 16's but if i'm still gonna have problems, i might have 2 settle wiv 195's.

195's seem the way to go.

Plus I gotta put 2 x VTR alloys on the front for MOT clearance.
