Head Unit Earth

What colour is the earth wire for the headunit on a saxo VTR? Ive got a feeling mine is wired in wrong and is casing interfearence.

Tried another headunit and its working fine though.

Is there anything i can try before sending it away for repair?

Its a Pioneer DEH-7700MP.

you could try making a new earth from your headunit wiring to a metal part of the chassis that way youll know if its the unit or the earth

earth on the unit should be black if its a new-ish unit,car manufacturers change colour every 5 mins
