how much should i lower my 1.1 desire? and which springs should i get etc etc

how low do you want to go? Whats the intended purpose of the car? will you want rear passengers? what's your budget?

want to one day take it upto knockhill for track days, dont have back seats due to bucket seats and harnesses taking up the back and around 500 pound?

drop it about 40 at the front and 60 at the back. or be a hero and go lower ;)

Labour... 1-150... Front springs 50-60... Depends what you want really...can be done cheaper but then agen could spend up to 6k on it...

i know of someone but if you look for a place called C.A.S in shotts(pretty sure that's the name), they do it professionally. or eccosse in bo'ness

I think they go for that reverse rake incase their ma's ever need the yard tidying up. Hey get your saxo rake out son. etc.
I prefer level or with the nose down slightly.

yes genius. since they are 15-20mm higher at the rear it would make the car roughly level...

Should be 10mm higher at the back for "proper" balance.
