well eventually got the mani wrapped and put back together, i started the car up and there is a weird smell and smoke coming from the wrapped manifold, anybody else had this problem?

New heat wrap smokes / stinks for awhile. Nothing to worry about. :y:

As above they do smoke for about 10-20 mins lol

mine smelt like burnt popcorn for ages but smoked for a while when first on

Horrible smell and it looks so bad when you see the smoke coming off it!
Does get better with time though as said, thank god!

It's funny lifting an 11 plate swift thats smoking a lot lol, it stops after a while mate.
