WD-40 for icv clean ?

basically my icv is playing up today and car cuts out every time I apply the cluch so was wondering is it safe to spray wD-40 into the top half of the air intake where it goes to the icv to clean it? Or do I need proper carb cleaner stuff? :|

you need to take the icv valve off to clean it carb cleaner and wd40 wont do any of the sensors any good.
