hi guys

not sure if this question has been asked before but i have a problem with my heater blower

story is that one day on the way home from work i noticed my heater blower wasnt working first thing i did when i got home was checked the fuse which had blown.
replaced that now everything else is fine apart from the heater blower
it draws a current still as the revs are dropping when i turn it on to setting 3 like it did before it broke but now nothing happens its like the fan isnt spinning

wondering if anyone has had a similar problem like this and was you able to give me any pointers

p.s not sure if this is related but before it broke it would only work on setting 3 and nothing else, from what i've read thats a common problem but not sure if that will have any affect on the situation

its just a bit of a headache as it happened the day after i renewed my insurance:wall:

Many thanks guys

It sounds like the resistor pack on the heater blower motor has packed up,its cheaper to replace the whole motor mate(used 1)

Its a bit of a work up,here goes.Open the bonnet remove the wiper motor cover, then the wiper arms.Followed by the motor itself, this reveals 2 nuts holding the blower motor.Next up inside the car remove the upper & lower ignition column shrouds, disconnect the blower ducts, unclip the wiring harness for the blower motor. Then get someone to hold the motor while you undo the 2 nuts securing it.Have fun.
