Managed to get hold of an old metal Citroen badge, but can't decide whether to primer and gloss black to match saxo badge or have it electroplated.
Also positioning I was thinking about attaching it to one side of the mesh grill or possibly removing both boot badges and having it in the center of the boot between rear window and plinth.
Appreciate people's opinions.

Looks great if the car is also following that theme (beaniemoo for example). But if its just going on a rancid chavved up saxo (not saying yours is) it'll look wrong.

The badge i got is different to beaniemoo's
this is how it looks after a quick rub with wet n dry and some megs metal polish.
could probably get it really shiny again if i put the time into it, but gonna see how much electroplaters will charge.

I can polish to a mirror and chrome or gold plate for the price of postage for you if you want. Be nice to see it on a car again.

its missing one of the pins on the back.
would it be better to get another welded on before having any finishing work done?
also, could the saxo badge be chromed aswell with it being plastic?
dont mind sending you a few english beer vouchers for doing them ;)
ideally id have liked to just have the citroen badge on the boot and nothing else but cant afford to have boot resprayed just for taking saxo badge off, and dont wanna do it the chav way of sticking 1p behind each hole and filling lol

Don't worry about paying me mate, honestly. Just cover the postage. To polish and plate will only take 20-30 minutes max so I'll just do it the next time I'm plating something :)
I can't chrome plastic - just metal, so you'll need to think of something else for that! However, I think you're right, it will look much better with just the citroen badge as the fonts are different so will look a bit bodged otherwise.

I was liked me before I was a mod. Now I'm a mod, gotta work that bit harder as by default mods become wankers in most people's minds :p Jokes ;)
I'm an all round nice guy really :homme: Welding Mikes exhaust tonight for him for example. When I come to need a favour, he'll be there :) All swings and roundabouts imo :)

Got mine off eBay mate, but not seen any on there at all since.
Feel a bit guilty that somewhere somebody needed this badge to finish a Citroen avant restoration project and I shafted em by bidding in last few seconds lol
Oh well, at least I won't see another saxo with same badge

Yeah looks like they're spot on. Allthough it doesn't seem to be on all of them? Maybe just the later models? Who knows!
