So, second year of driving, and insurance just been done.
1300...
Fully comp, on a 1.1 saxo desire. 52 plate...

1years ncb
No points at the time of re-newal. ;)

Literally, a week before I my first car, the summer riots every major city had, one ran along my road , smashed every ones car windows, mirrors and fronts of houses. Since then, insurance for my area and code is astronomical.

19 aswelll, just rape at the moment. I refuse point blank to get a tracker or box fitted. no freedom in those.
Just for next years, anything I can do to make it waaaaay cheaper. Shopped around, rang scores of insurers, cheapest I got was with co-op weirdly as they don't price match....

Not a bad price considering its only your second year. How much was your first year? Alot of people pay much more than that on their first year, so £1300 sounds reasonable by todays standards.

Seems fair to me for a 19 yr old on your second year. Bet TF11 makes it lower, should move to mine ;)

Yeah luckily im in a pretty good area aswell. If I remove my points and non-fault accident, mine would be around £600 fully comp, 21 years old, 3 years driving/ncb.

Nottingham isnt the shit hole, it's the people of nottingham.... Scrotes majority of them.

I got a quote for where my girlfriend lives in the middle of no-where, 800 quid. Just a huge piss take really.

I just got quoted 1600 on a GTI 180.

That's pretty good considering its a 2 litre and I live in a shit area of Brum.

Someone said its expensive, but considering in my first year as a named driver i payed 1500 for a 1.1 litre 106.

Funny thing is when i typed removal man as my job, which im not anymore. I got an expensive quote. I changed it to sound technician in a school and the price went right down. I think thats probably got a lot to do with it.

Where I live it's actually not bad and one of the boys was paying £3000 first year of driving on a 1.1

Consider yourself lucky

Yup. Most young driver by me are getting stupid quotes also. It sucks to be them.

Only a little bit more than my second year, stop bitching. Insurance has sky rocketed since then. I think that's a good price.

Righto...

So you pay fully comp on a 1.1 for what?

No reason?

Thats about £500 wasted from the off.

You buy a saxo, which in terms of statistics is probably one of the most crashed small cars because everyone gets one as their first, so the insurance will be alot on them anyway.

Well played :y:
