in terms on perf you're looking at something that's behind a saxo 1.1 after second gear, so I'm pretty sure they must be quite useless under load. Others above already confirmed the turbo blows up and I wouldn't be surprised by that. There's a lot of lag in any gear, really feels like put your foot down and nothing happens. Load it up, put your foot down, nothing happens except more stress on the engine.
Unless you don't plan on transporting very heavy goods, I'd tell you to look at a 1.9dci minimum.

Yeh its the insurance though as well, 1.5 60 DCI = £750 FC 1.9 = £1590

Make more phone calls towards more companies and brokers, there is always a cheaper one unless you had your licence 18 months ago or have points.
Do the math and it could cost you as much in petrol and maintenance because you'll have to rag it to get going.

To be honest, I have the mini which is rapid as mini go so I feel I wont be having to rag the van everywhere. I just need it to start the business, low insurance and its the only one i can insure someone on , on the business insurance which is an actual bonus.

fair does. I'm talking about having to rag it under load, as in you won't have much of a choice. That vehicle is good for light stuff only. The other stuff that steers me away from renault is that parts are quite expensive on them.
That said the one you're looking at is 39kmiles one old owner so it sounds pretty safe, though there's a lot more than just that to check.

TBH my dad had a car of the bloke years back a TDI 306. If i remember correctly we had to have the turbo rebuilt due to the fact that it was used. He must of only gone up to 30 MPH ha ha

What is the nature of the business?
More power more problems imo when it comes to business vehicles.
I have a connect 75 slow as but never broke down in the 2.5 years I've owned it and returns great MPG 50 ish on average, I generally use it to carry tools in mine roughly 300kgs does 60 down the motorway what more do you need.

If it's anything like the 1.3 cdti astra don't bother if you live where there is a lot of hills!
I had one beifly only had it a month it was stupidly slow empty even more loaded, had to be careful how you pulled out at junctions/round a bouts etc! No power what so ever
Button the motorway it was ok, however the 6 speed was a waste of time anything under 70-80 it would start almost kangerooing In 6th
The newer 1.3 engines are supposed to be better
And mine did have a knackerd egr we found out after selling it
