Be sure to take ID as it'll be required to rent it.

Got one a few months back from my local hire shop, i've got an account with them and it was £28 for the day, without an account think it was something like £35
Edit: that's a little independent hire shop, the mainstream ones like rawstones and hss will probabyt be more like £40 - £45 a day

Can voucher for chris here, i use these for work on a regular basis and them little ones are crap, you might as well suck up the water with your own mouth yourself! We get them for about £25 but thats with a 35% discount i think :/ HSS are probably the best hire station around in my experience as well. But shop around mate, these are readily available from nearly every hire shop.

I used a rug doctor from Morrison, they had them available to hire for some reason at our local supermarket. Used it to clean the carpets of a flat I rented when I handed it back, don't know why I bothered, they kept my bond anyway the buggers.

Carpet cleaner. (http://www.hss.com/g/58302/Carpet-Cleaner-Small.html)
Get the little Upholstery Attachment too. You will need a id card and 2 bank statements but will also need to pay a £70 deposit. In my opinion they don't get better than these and i used one on every new car I have ever had.

Rug doctor you can get at Morrisons, cost £24 for a day/two days but you have to buy the shampoo... Still stays under the 50quid.
What are you using it for ?
