ive owned a few 106's saxos 205's ect. so im not a hater of them, ( they dont handle as well as a vw , but thats personal prefrence) but in my oppinion they do suit the track / rally look, but what the fuck is the crack with the euro look? seriously slammed and smothed with dished wheels? seriously leave it to the vw boys, much love a proud audi owner that saw sense..

I bet you've got shiny Purple wheels and a de-badged car? Just like the rest of them.

I own a polo.. And the handling part is bull.. Could throw my saxo, even my 306 around corners so much better than the polo.. Just feels like dead weight rolling about!

People modify their cars to how they like it, no one tries to look like they drive VW's..

I think alot of euro french cars, look an awful lost better than some examples of euro VW's

I have a polo an audi and the saxo... The saxo is most fun... The audi just does it no quibbles no tyres screech, comfortable quiet quick polo similar but not quick...

Euro look imo looks better on the german dub cars... Polos golfs passats... Audis dont suit it that well...

Haha every VW I've been in has handled like shit. I really really dislike the whole VW thing where people who have them will only drive VW's and nothing else. Wouldn't be so bad if they were any good but they're shit lol. Common, slow, don't handle and the build quality doesn't live up to expectations.

Whatever you're smoking, I want some!

Build quality doesn't live upto expectations?! There is a reason VW has the reputation it does. The build quality is spot on. Let me know when your 23 year old Saxo runs without any issues.

Handles like shit? I don't think you've ever driven a VW to be honest...

Parents '02' Passat TDi.. Bought brand new and now at 72K

New electronics
New alternator
new rad
new inter cooler
new pulleys and alternator clutch
new bushes
alloys are bubbling
car rattles

It's pretty much had everything you can imagine replaced. Awful car and slower then my car.

VW providing reliabitly and trouble free motors near you.

VAG is over-rated totally. Srs it cant be as good as its made out. "my reliable solid vag motor.

The car's kept on the drive and used for long journeys. Its always been driven by the parents and costs twice as much as a Jap car to buy and that wouldn't have any problems.

From experience of this car, I wouldn't have another Vag.

After the MK2 Golf (which wasn't quite as good as the MK1) VW went shite till the pulled their finger out slightly with the MK5 GTI.

As for 'Euro' I do believe the japs were doing something similar in the 70s or maybe before.

Although that i love my audi, and my cupra's that ive owned, i must say the handling of the saxo is far superior, i HATE quatro with a passion on my car, corners are so twitchy, you dont want to push it as it ALWAYS comes out, saxo ive never had that

Just the downside is, how much more refined, comfortable and quieter even with a loudish exhaust on my audi it is compared to the saxo, also the fact, i feel a bit more sensable driving in it even though ive just had it mapped today im still trying to resist boosting too much so my penis dosent get pushed back into my pelvis.

Inverted penis?

Your scincerely, some other cunt that has more sence :y:

Owned a saxo, mk4 golf tdi, mk4 golf gt tdi and now a new golf gti. Hate to say it but the old diesel golfs do the buisness a lot longer than saxos. One was on 240,000 miles, one on 158,000 miles. Still in our fleet and i drive them on regular occasions. They hve needed barely anything doing to them. If i See a saxo still chomping up the miles at 240, 000 miles on the dial then i will be surprised. That said they arent as nimble in the corners but tbh, once i had driven a golf the saxo didnt seem that safe to
Be in. HOWEVER- looks wise there is no comparison... The saxo is just pretty. I cant stand the looks of the partially modded vw's... Just look crap.

After seeing your car video, I'm not sure if the VW handling applies in your case. At the end of the day you can't do more than 20mph or even less sometimes. That or your car scrapes, I would bet that it bottoms out in every corner.

I have 2 golfs and a saxo and I can tell you the saxo handles far better than both golfs.

I could easily find a good example of a well built Euro Saxo and a poor effort at a Euro Golf to piss on your parade. It doesn't matter what European car the Euro look is applied to, there are good examples and really really shit ones.

VW are shit anyway?

I've been to a few shows in my time and can tell you the likes of VW Festival and VanFest embarrass FCS and Trax.

I'd much rather be at a VW show than hang around a bunch of pre-pubes with their trousers hanging off their arse cheeks and a silly flat peak cap at a "saxo meet"....

I very rarely bottom out actually. I do over 1000 miles a month and bottom out less than once a week. Splitter takes a beating but hey, it's just abit of plastic.

Mainly belgium tbh You don't see that many modified cars in France or Germany. The majority are in countried that have simply bought French of German and modified it accordingly

Personally I think car modifying in general has become dull and boring. People constantly taking the piss out of each others cars just because it's not the make of car they would have or not modified in the way they like. That's why I'm getting a little van that's good on fuel and insurance, and good for transporting me to work and my pitbike to the local track when I want some fun :)
