whats your budget? what setup and power(RMS) will you be running? plenty out there, lower budget something like JBL 5355e or Alpine MRV F450, middle range budget Genesis profile 5 up to higher end budget, the Genesis series 3 5 channel, DLS A7 or if you want to blow the bank :) an audison LRx 5.1k.

is it £100 you have to spend on an amp or £100 to spend on an amp, speakers and a wiring kit? as thats what its is, a package.

Just amp

well what you have been looking at is a package deal mate, to be fair, it is probably cheaper to buy 2 amps than just one does all. You could buy a 4 channel and a mono of a known brand for 100 quid easy 2nd hand, if that doesnt bother you.

if you need the space(5 channels are big mind) and/or just want 1 that is a 5ch then you will struggle to find what your after really for the price and also any good. Keep an open mind as far as buying used though as you can get very good audio for a fragment of original price

Why don't you just spend £100 on an amp, and run your speakers off your headunit? You said you aren't bothered about it being really loud so why do you need your speakers amped?
I'm not sure what sub you have, so let us know what you have.
I have this for my sub, and it does the job pretty well:

Lol its up to you but I would really really stay away from that amp!!

It's not 4800w. for £75.

You might be better off looking on ebay for a second hand one like JBL etc

It's not 4800w. for £75.

I think that's what's he's thinking Mate

It doesn't tell you the rms output so how do you know it's capable to do what you want it to?

huricane

Don't care about the ampage just need a 4 channel for under £80/100

SaxoVTRben
5th September 2012, 11:45
You will need to start caring about ampaege then, as if you dont you will either overpower causing clipping the speakers to blow and/or the coils to burn out and most probably catch fire. If you underpower it will cause the speakers to play crap, distort and again cause clipping which again can/will damage speakers and amp respectively.

Ideall you want to know the rms of both amp and speakers and match them or if they will cope slightly overpower them. Unfortuneatly what most people believe is if you buy an amp with more rms then it will make the speakers louder and better sounding. Unfortuneatly this isnt the case just as paying £75 of your hard earned notes isnt going to get you even 10% of 4.8k rms.

Max is not important it is just a way to make up an imaginary figure to sell you the product

We've told him enough times lol

If you have your heart set on the eBay tack then just go for it, not my loss. It will be crap though and you are the one who's going to regret it!

Good luck

Why would I? I got my 100 so I can view the for sale forums, and if it stayed at what it is now I really couldn't care less!

Just buy your ebay amp then come and complain about how shit it is later.

I am going to agree with hurricane after this post, how does stropping off help him. He asked a question, for advice, you threw your 2 pence in with the amp you use and advise to run speakers off his HU? why would you suggest running off the HU if he wants to amp his speakers and sub? clearly very low level, there are many better options than that for a start as that WILL sound shite! JBL are good for the price, i wont disagree, but for a 100 bucks you could get a 2nd hand genny mono which is far superior especially in build quality and sound quality.

the rest of the posts you just agree with me:fcuk: and after looking at a few of your other posts....you either criticise or just sound like a :homme:

Oh dear oh dear

Listen to the advice given

You will first need to let us know what speakers you are running etc to get the power ratings in order to find an amp that will suit your speakers

For 100 pound ou can get some really nice second hand amps, alpine amps in my opinion are awesome for the money and usually last a very long time I've had one of my alpine amps for about 6 years and the mono alpine I bought second hand was will over 100 but work perfect

Just don't buy crap amps like some suggested as they won't last long, been there done that with a legacy one and soon as it hit high bass on the sub it would just cut off

JBL amps are awesome if your on a budget

huricane
11th September 2012, 21:23
sub is 200rms and the other 4 are between 80 and 100 rms

AnthonyMartin

Better than the pile of shit on ebay!

But listen to us all, you are better off buying a second hand one!

Best used amps for £100ish :
pioneer
alpine

Best new amps for £100ish:
JBL
Edge

For 100 pound you will probablies struggle to power 4 speakers and a sub might be best to get a 4/3/2 channel first power the front 2 speakers and a sub then buy a mono amp to power sub and use the 4 channel to power up the 4 speakers

Or what I'd do is buy a two channel amp to power the front speakers and then a mono amp for sub and leave the rear ones running off headunit

Rear speakers aren't really needed in my opinion good set of front components is all you need hooked up to an amp and a single sub, unless your going for competition this is all you need I currently run focal poly glass components up front in the golf along with a 10 inch sub, two alpine amps power them and trust me it sounds really good

You get what you pay for really

I'd say a 2 channel amp and mono amp you'd get for 100 - 150 and best off looking for alpine or jbl second hand ones usually can get a bargain and they last ages

This will power 4 speakers and sub, just fine and with ample enough "grunt" for you and is within your budget
