Costa Del Sol Wildfire.

4300 people have been evacuated from Marbella(Ojen) ALONE, Its been out of control for more than 12 hours. All friends of friends have lost their houses, animals, everything.

Barranco Blanco, Fuengirola, Coin, Mjias, Alhaurin, Marbella (Ojen) have caught fire in the mountains, Its 30 miles Long.

We've experienced fires really bad here before but this is by far the Worst! I'm shocked it isnt on breaking news already, well It is on spanish TV.

1000s of animals have died in the woods/forests, animals have been set free from Shelters so they get the chance to live :( It's so sad.

The ash outside my house on the floors and the car is absolutely insane, It's like its snowing Ash!

Yeah its 10 minutes from me Nicole!! And a couple of my mates in Alhaurin/coin, It's been announced they need to get ready to evacuate! That was like 10 minutes ago. It could spread up this way, which would be really bad cause we basically live in an urbanization in the mountains lol but I doubt it will, hopefully the fire fighters have nearly got it under control..

Apparently theres horses tied to trees and people walking around with blankets over them :( It's terrible, We don't have a car until around 4pm so we can't go and help until then!

They had to open the cages to 30 cats so they could run free, and 20 dogs I think!

mmmm not good.... ive got a couple of london gatwick to malaga flights to do on sunday then i am staying in benalmadena for 4 nights on a little break. I hope the fire gets put out a.s.a.p . My thoughts are with the people affected.

Will do, the fire is STILL going and the winds changed which means its headed back to barranco blanco where it started!! Soo crazy, the weird thing too is that we haven't had wind or nice a breeze for a MONTH now its going crazy, Wee need rain so bad!

Its crazy alright :( Gonna go have a drive around some of the areas tomorrow and pick up any stray dogs or cats! Poor lite guys. (Can't today as the cars in the garage getting new brakes fitted)

Ok now I have sobered up, I can comment properly! That's shocking tbh. But at the same time it is one of those things that I love about that part of Spain. The openess with the odd mountain the views are unreal.
