yes I know this is saxp and not 206 but a lot of people from 206 are saying to ask here ^^
My sisters 206 gearbox is fucked & she needs to buy a new one, can a 1.4 16v gearbox fit into a 1.6 16v 206 2001 206?
She isn't no car "enthusiast" and really couldn't give a shit about how her car runs, as long as it does lool.
Any advice would be awesome! thanks
Mark

If both engines are gear boxes are from the same family, then yes, it should fit!
e.g TU/MA or XU/BE.

You don't get 1.4 Gti gearboxes :/. You'd need a Gti/ VTS box OR a 1.4

1.4 16v is not a TU engine, its an ET3.
however it does use the same gearbox casing, the TU3A 8 valver does use the same gear ratios in the 206, I doubt it would be a good idea to use a TU5JP4 box as they have more torque and higher gearing typically.
