I have some GMC 40mm springs. I think they are around 160-180lb and lower the car 40mm. I was wondering if anyone could recommend the best and most suitable dampers for these? B8s? Grp N's?

Any helpful information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What's the intended purpose? Road, trackday, track only etc?

I do a few track days a year. And use the car for 120 miles a week on the road. Just want to know which dampers are best suited to the springs. Spring rates to damping rates etc...

id look at group ns
b8s start to struggle at 160-170lb in most cases so group n billies come in then

its a preference on how it damps though from the drivers point of view
both would work fairly well but the group ns will dampen them better b8s allmost start to be "bouncy" in a way
nothing bad but in hard cases can tell theyre at the top 1/4 of what they can cope with

id be suprised if those springs were up at 180lb

iirc theyre about 165 but im probably well wrong its late and im fooked

Iirc ...Gmc springs are about 150-160lb

I have them on mine and now i have a quaife diff they are far to soft. I now have some 180lb faulkners to try. Comparing the 2 side by side the faulkners are alot stiffer

To answer your original question, i use billie group n's with mine.. Gmc supply them as part of their trackday kit
